REQUIREMENT

In normal use, equipment must not become mechanically unstable to the extent that it causes a hazard to the operator.


TEST METHOD

Stability is tested by tilting the equipment to 10°. It must not overbalance.

In addition, floor standing equipment is tested by applying a downward force of 800N on horizontal working surfaces l m or less from the floor. Also floor standing equipment weighing more than 25 kg is testing by applying a force of 20% of its weight, up to 250N in any direction except upwards. The equipment must not overbalance during these tests.
