IEC 60950 was written under the auspices of the IEC, the
International Electrotechnical Commission, and published by the same body.It has been adopted by many countries, with national deviations, as their national standard. Examples are:
UL 1950/CSA C22.2 950 - USA and CanadaAS/NZS 3260 - Australia and New Zealand
EN 60950 - The European Union
(Some countires in the EU have additional national deviations, e.g. United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden)
